Tech News Today accepts guest contributions from writers with real, hands-on expertise in technology, gadgets, software, apps, or games. If you’ve got something worth saying and you can back it up, we want to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
We publish:
- Hands-on reviews of products you’ve actually used, not spec-sheet summaries
- Explainers written by someone with genuine technical depth in the subject
- Opinion pieces with a clear, defensible point of view
- Industry analysis from people who work in or closely follow the space
- Practical guides based on real experience solving a specific problem
We don’t publish:
- Rewrites of press releases with no original reporting or testing
- Thinly-veiled product promotion disguised as editorial content
- AI-generated drafts submitted without human review or fact-checking
- Generic listicles with no first-hand knowledge behind them
- Anything plagiarized or previously published elsewhere
How to Pitch
Skip the fully-written draft for your first pitch — send us the idea first. A good pitch includes:
- A one- or two-line summary of the article
- Why you’re the right person to write it (your experience, background, or expertise)
- A rough outline or the angle you’d take
- Links to previous writing, if you have any
We reply to every pitch, even the ones we pass on. If we like it, we’ll usually come back with a few notes on angle or scope before you write the full draft.
What We Expect From the Draft
- Original writing — not repurposed from another site or an unedited AI draft
- Sourced claims: link to documentation, official statements, or your own testing
- Full disclosure of any relevant affiliation (if you work for or have a financial interest in a company you’re covering, say so)
- A tone that fits the piece — direct and clear over promotional or hype-driven

Bylines and Compensation
Guest pieces run with a full byline and a short author bio, including a link to your site or social profile if you’d like one included. Compensation varies by piece and is discussed directly once a pitch is accepted — mention it in your pitch if it’s a deciding factor for you.
